I think somebody else translated this interview (non-dengeki version) on the wiki forums too maybe. It's just the same group interview they did with all the Japanese press. Dengeki was just late getting it out compared to everyone else. It is kinda odd tho.... its all the same interview but the answers are slightly different depending on the site.

Even taking into account translation changes or meanings slightly warped, it's not the first time the Dev Team says things differently OR contradicts itself...

It's not about translation changes. If you compare the Japanese text on the various Japanese sites, it's slightly different. They were all put into the same room and did a group interview together so it should all be identical. That's why I find it interesting.

I think it was kind of interesting that they had a lot of answers prepared but only gave up information for some of the questions people asked. There are probably a few more things they would be willing to share if asked the right question.

That's what I hate about SE, they are so secretive. Why don't they just "Spill the beans" about all the info that they are allowed to. Why make people hunt and peck for questions that they are allowed to answer.

Seriously. This is like them telling you your favorite job will be changed in the next game update, but they won't say what they're changing.

You end up waiting like a month or so to finally see what they're going to do to your favorite job, when they knew what they would do all along and just decided to tease us with it.

Final Fantasy XIII is due out in Spring 2010, that gives us Summer, Fall, and Winter 2010. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say end of Summer beginning of Fall. Calling it now! :P

The last Famitsu issue supposedly features an article about FFXIV, however I cannot confirm if it's true atm and if the content is actually new or simply a re-hash of what is known.

EDIT: OK it's on the cover so I guess so. But the first snippets of info don't offer anything new.

So then I would expect very early 2010, hopefully we'll see FFXIV out by this time next year. :geek:

There is a FFXIV interview in Famitsu, but I have no idea of its contents.

If it stops raining, I'll head to the bookstore tonight and check it out. The page for weekly Famitsu says it covers E3 stuff but I didn't see anything about FFXIV specifically on the cover. Is it supposed to be the weekly one or one of their many other publications?

It's the one "leaked" earlier, I think it's the weekly one that's supposed to be in stores Friday. To be precise, the cover is this one:

Just got back from the bookstore too. Yeah, that'll come out this Friday. My bookstore will probably have it Saturday or Sunday so I'll check for it then. I wish the bookstores around here weren't so slow.

There should be a transcript on 2ch usually, but looking for it there usually gets me headaches (trying to be sure it's legit and not fake, among other things), so I guess I'll expect till the magazine hits the shelves 8P

A small pic has begun circulating, but it's only a part of the article and from what I can read (not the best quality), the part shown simply talk about the E3 report, though the interview may be on another page:

And the pictures in that image are shots from the trailer so I have a feeling the discusses nothing new. :(

My guess is that the "interview" is the interview you see on that page marked E3 report. I can't imagine them getting a special interview and none of the rest of the media getting anything. The interview printed on that page is the same one available online from them as well. At the bottom it says "for more interview on FFXIV" but.... my guess is that it's just leading to the rest of that long interview on another page that they've already published online like all the other outlets.

If you get any more pictures, I'd love to see them! If anything, it's interesting to see what kind of comments they add like the one you can see about getting to play with people all over the world and their speculation about what is in the screenshots.

HQ scans usually pop up on 2ch on THursday, but only the ones of the most talked articles usually, so I'll keep an eye on it, but cannot really guarantee anything 8P

Can't wait, I suspect there will be a really nice selection of the old races and the new races, and since the storyline has no connection with ff11, I guess a Mithrel would fit in the picture, I mean c'mon, you know you want it lol
