For some time now i've been thinking of joining the Canadian Forces as a reservist, but only recently did I put those thoughts into action. Last week on Monday, I went over to the Cartier Drill Hall, headquarters of the Royal Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa, which is an infantry regiment. I talked to the man in charge of recruiting to have some questions answered that have been plaguing me, like what the enrollment process is, what you do as a reservist, that sort of thing. From what I gathered from my conversation with him and looking through the regimental website, I think i'd fit in quite nicely in a career like this. So, I upgraded my video card, "to play ffxiv". Did the preorder. But now have 60 days to wait until I can play.
What to do?

I decided to go back to an old "perfect world" account I had. And.... it rocks!
The new card lets me keep the details cranked high now.
Graphics are awesome in towns. Lots of quests. I happen to have found a friendly "linkshell" equivalent by accident.
About the only thing I miss, is actual talking quest people, cutscenes, etc.
