Can you believe it’s almost been a year since we released the first episode of Aetheryte Radio? Episodes have been slow because we currently only release an episode when a large chunk of information has been released either by Square Enix or some of the other media sources that are out there. Now that we know the release date for Final Fantasy XIV, you can look forward to hearing a lot more from us in the coming months!

From the beginning, the podcast team has been discussing our plans for Aetheryte Radio after launch. We wanted to do something new with a podcast that caters to the different types of listeners out there. We’re still working on some of the finer details but we have a clear idea of what we want to do come September.

One thing that has always been important to the members of the podcast team is seeing interaction with the community. We’d like to take this opportunity to ask all of our listeners to help us develop the future of Aetheryte Radio! We’d like to get everyone’s thoughts on the podcast as well as the Aetheryte Radio section of Eorzeapedia. What would you like to see added? What do you want to see improved? What don’t you want to see?

As most of you know, we usually wait until there’s quite a bit of information to talk about before releasing an episode. However, with the recent announcement that Final Fantasy XIV would be coming out this September, we felt that was all the reason we needed to throw up a new episode!

One correction we do want to make note of before you listen in. The “tumbler” that we mention for the Collector’s Edition is  part of the Japanese CE. The North American version excludes this item. Check out our wiki page for more information on the Collector’s Edition for each region!

Today we’re excited to announce that Limit Break Radio and Pet Food Alpha are teaming up to relay the latest up to the minute coverage from this years VanaFest 2010 event in Tokyo!
